Sirolo, pearl of the Adriatic

Sirolo is a seafaring village that rises perched on the cliffs of Monte Conero, a Natural Park strong> for years now.

The tangle of suggestively elegant alleys overhanging the sea leads to the main square of the town – almost a natural terrace – from which it is possible to marvel in front of one of the most famous views of Monte Conero and its sea in a fusion of green and blue tones. On the clearest days it is also possible to see the Croatian coast.

Piceni (the tomb of their Queen can be visited), Greeks and Romans</ strong> have left their mark here to arrive at the typical medieval matrix conformation as Sirolo was a fortified castle of which the ancient walls, now restored, are clearly visible.

The architectural beauties blend harmoniously with the landscape context in which sea and land embrace each other.

The soul of Sirolo

The sea is the true soul of Sirolo.
Always a blue flag, white rocks and crystal clear waters all to be explored. If you’re lucky, you’ll even see dolphins plying these waters.

In Sirolo there are many coves and beaches still on a human scale and beauties to gain with a little effort strong>, down the paths of the Parco del Conero.
Like the spectacular Passo del Lupo which leads to the wonderful beach of the due Sorelle, otherwise reachable only by sea.

Then there are the beach of the Sassi Neri, the beach Urbani and the < strong>beach of San Michele, all united by a stupendous sea that is exalted at sunrise and sunset but also with the moon.

Holidays here are a dream and guests always come home with something extra.

Delights in the alleys

The cuisine is based on fish but with an eye also to the land, a feature common to all the centers in the Monte Conero area.
Many restaurants for all budgets will be happy to offer you their “treasures”. Have fun “finding them out” in complete tranquility while strolling through the charming alleys of the town.

Even lovers of art, history and entertainment will find satisfaction here thanks to:

to then arrive at the Abbey of San Pietro on the top of the mountain from which you can see the south coast as far as Porto Recanati and beyond.

Noteworthy is the Teatro Cortesi – from 1873 – and the more particular Teatro alle Cave, carved out of the bare rock for sensational acoustics.
