What to eat in the Riviera del Conero<\/span><\/p>

Typical products of coastal areas<\/h3>

When you come to the Conero Riviera, the typical products that you absolutely must taste are:<\/p>

  • the wild mussels<\/strong><\/em> of Portonovo<\/strong>: these are the typical local mussels,<\/li>
  • i paccasassi<\/strong><\/em>: wild sea fennel that is macerated for months before being tasted),<\/li>
  • the fish soup<\/strong><\/em> port of Recanati and Ancona,<\/li>
  • the stockfish<\/strong><\/em> all’anconitana,<\/li>
  • i pauri<\/strong><\/em> (large crabs that turn fiery red when cooked),<\/li><\/ul>

    In addition to these delicacies, you can always taste the good and healthy blue fish<\/em>, the cuttlefish<\/em> and the sole sole<\/em>, the oysters<\/ em>, sea truffles<\/em>, varoli<\/em> (sea bass or sea bass), monkfish<\/em>, sea gallinelle<\/em> em>, the St. Peters<\/em> and we hope we haven’t forgotten anyone!<\/em><\/p>

    As we have said, the Conero Riviera is not just fish cuisine.

    • i Vincisgrassi<\/strong><\/em> (baked pasta like lasagna, internationalized derivation of the same but with the secret ingredient of chicken giblets and more),<\/li>
    • the cheese pizza<\/strong>,<\/li>
    • the fig lonzetta<\/strong>,<\/li>
    • the bread of Varano<\/strong><\/em>,<\/li>
    • the tagliatelle or gnocchi with duck<\/strong>,<\/li>
    • the sapa<\/strong><\/em>,<\/li>
    • the fossa cheese<\/strong>,<\/li><\/ul>

      not to mention durum wheat pasta, egg pasta, sourdough bread, wild boar and game in general, extra virgin olive oil, honey, cured meats, sweets, jams and donuts<\/p>

      The wines of the Conero Riviera<\/h2>

      Rosso Conero and Verdicchio<\/h3>

      The Conero<\/strong> is the land of its red, the Rosso Conero<\/strong><\/em> which has the characteristics of the mountain mitigated by the mediation of the sea.<\/p>

      Even this sometimes stony land contributes to the formation of its strong and decisive character<\/strong> in a scenario of rows and vines that justify their presence even if only from an aesthetic point of view.<\/p>

      The Verdicchio<\/strong> instead comes from the Valle dei Castelli di Jesi<\/strong>, very close and easily reachable from the Riviera.<\/p>
