Wine and Food
“Le Marche” in general and “Riviera del Conero” in particular are areas with a wide range wine and food offer. These areas have several food products from the sea country and from the backcountry. Many of them are in the Slow Food List. The most common local sea food that you can taste are: mussels, seabrass, “Paccasassi” (a kind of wild fennel), San Pietro fish, “Pauri” (big local crabs). As for the backcountry local food: “Ciauscolo” (delicious local salami), “Vincisgrassi” (typical local kid of Lasagne) and a wide range offer of delicious game. Reguarding the wine market the most important wines are “Rosso Conero” and “Verdicchio di Jesi”. The first one is a red wine while the second one is a white wine. “Le Marche” but also “Riviera del Conero” supply others delicious products such as Honey, Cheeses, Oil and Sweets.
